Welfare Officer

The British White Cattle Society aims to further the progress of the breed through encouraging the breeding and promotion of British White cattle. We believe that under this banner, it is also our duty to ensure that pedigree cattle are not lost to the breed unnecessarily through unfortunate circumstances. It has therefore been decided that the BWCS will offer practical help and advice to members who might find themselves in difficult situations.

If you find for example that your holding is overstocked due to TB restrictions, or that you are short of forage due to adverse weather, please contact our Welfare Officer to organise fodder, bedding, moving cattle or urgent sales. Any personal circumstances discussed will remain entirely confidential and practical advice can be offered for you or a breeder you are concerned about, even if you wish to remain anonymous.
