Ideal for the low input market of today, the British White is an easy-feeding beef breed which excels at easy calving, efficient rearing and high quality beef production.
British White females are well suited to use with a terminal sire as they are genuinely easy calving and exceptional mothers, making them an effective choice for commercial suckler systems.
As a sire, the British White will give heifers of any breed an easy first calving. Calves are vigorous and will achieve good growth rates at weaning and beyond even when outwintered.
These hardy cattle are also popular overseas, with semen and embryo exports growing every year to countries such as the USA, Australia and Brazil. Once owing its survival to just a handful of breeders, the British White is now moving forward with the continued support of the Rare Breeds Survival Trust.
