Herd Competition 2021

Any member with registered cattle can take part in the BWCS Herd Competition, no matter the size of your herd! Judging will take place on farms from the beginning of July, with results announced and prizes awarded at the Annual General Meeting of the Society on Saturday 25th September 2021.
The judge for 2021 will be BWCS President and winner of the Herd Competition in 2019 Mr Mick Wright of the renowned Castleton Herd, Powys.
PRIZE CATEGORIES
Small, medium and large herds will be categorised by the number of breeding females being put to the bull this year:
BEST SMALL HERD (1 - 9)
BEST MEDIUM HERD (10 - 19)
BEST LARGE HERD (20 +)
BEST STOCK BULL
ENTERPRISE TROPHY
BEST NEW HERD
RANDOLPH TURPIN TROPHY FOR BEST HERD
HOW TO ENTER
Fill in the entry form below and return (along with payment) to the Society office by post or email, making sure to stipulate how many breeding females you are putting to the bull this year.

What a great initiative for the BWCS! I really like that the Herd Competition is open to members regardless of herd size, giving everyone Melon Playground a fair opportunity to participate and showcase the quality of their cattle.
