Two BWCS exhibitors represented the British White breed at the Royal Cheshire County Show on Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 June, coming away with some excellent results in the mixed-breed classes. It was the young bull Castrum Augustus bred and exhibited by local breeder Mrs Jan Walton, Chester, which was awarded both the Any Other Dual Purpose Breed Championship and the Reserve Rare Breed Championship at the show, continuing a tremendous first season of exhibiting British White cattle for the Castrum team of Jan and Andrew Walton.

Taking the prize for Reserve Champion British White with the homebred Marshbrook Moonstone, along with a number of other rosettes in both sets of classes, was Mrs Elayna Astbury, Tewkesbury. Heifer calf Marshbrook Moonstone, at only four months old and still at the foot of her dam, won Tuesday's junior heifer class in her own right, as well as Reserve Champion British White on Wednesday.
