Show Results: Royal Norfolk

Rising to the top of the breed classes held at the Royal Norfolk Show on Wednesday 25 June was the outstanding two-year-old Tollesbury Tarzan from AV & AKM St Joseph, Maldon, marking a second Breed Championship and third Male Championship of 2025 for this bull. Tapped out by judge Joshua Brigg for having 'excellent length, size, and good locomotion', this animal shows great promise as a future working sire.

Reserve Champion of the section was another two-year-old, the in-calf heifer Alcroft Gloria from Miss S Cook, Cambridge, who also took the Junior and Reserve Male Championships with young bull Alcroft Goldcrest from the same stable. Amongst the other class winners were the senior cow De Beauvoir Smart Sally from Mrs A Dunn, Billericay, and junior heifer Tollesbury TicTac from AV & AKM St Joseph. The Norfolk Special, awarded to the best animal bred in the county of Norfolk, went to the three-year-old first calver Woodbastwick Sorcha from RH Farms, Norwich.

Exhibitors then went on to compete in the Heygates Beef Team of Five Competition, with the British White team made up of senior bull Tollesbury Tarzan, two senior heifers Alcroft Gloria and Tollesbury Tahiti, yearling bull Alcroft Goldcrest, and yearling heifer Tollesbury TicTac. Representing the breed in these competitions forms an important part of the promotion of British White cattle to the beef industry as well as to the wider public, and our Society is grateful to the members who work so hard to turn out the animals for people to see!
