Flying the flag for the East Anglian area at the Royal Norfolk Show on Wednesday 24 June, breeders put on a quality display of cattle for judge Mr Paul Pennington, Bridgnorth. Winning the MSD AgVet Perpetual Challenge Trophy for Breed Champion was Tollesbury Tahiti, a 2023-born cow bred and exhibited by Vivien & Andrew St Joseph & Mark Howland, Maldon.

Sired by Tollesbury Pirate EX91 and out of Tollesbury Thisbe VG85, Tahiti was described by the judge as "an outstanding first time calving cow with an exceptional heifer calf at foot", as she was shown along with her February-born daughter Tollesbury Tinker Bell, which is sired by the recent National Show Male Champion Tollesbury Tarzan VG88.

The Reserve Female and Reserve Breed Champion came from the senior heifer class, won by Alcroft Ginger from Miss S Cook, Cambridge. Born in February 2024, this in-calf heifer is sired by Nidderdale Alladin EX91 and out of Alcroft Glory VG87.
In the bull section, it was the senior class winner Woodbastwick Cross Cross bred and exhibited by RH Farms, Norwich, which took the Male Championship and the John Cator Perpetual Challenge Trophy for Best Opposite Sex to the Champion, as well as being awarded the Norfolk Special for the best animal bred and exhibited by a breeder in the county of Norfolk. Mr Pennington selected this bull as his eventual Male Champion for being "a very tidy, young and well-grown bull".

Winning the Junior and Reserve Male Championships was the March 2025-born bull Tollesbury Trojan from A & V St Joseph & M Howland, sired by Castleton Brenin EX95 and out of Tollesbury Tortuga VG86. The Reserve Junior Champion was the maiden heifer class winner Alcroft Grace from Miss S Cook, whose Alcroft team of heifers (Ginger, Gala, and Grace) also won the prize for the best exhibitor-owned group of three.

Commenting on the day, judge Paul Pennington said: "What an honour it was to be invited to the Royal Norfolk Show to judge the British White breed classes, and it truly didn't disappoint. The show is well worth supporting for anyone contemplating a future trip to the East; even the cattle rings were thoughtfully shaded by mature trees on an exceptionally hot day! I went home very content that all the cattle shown were of a very high quality, a credit to the breed and to all the exhibitors who produced their animals on the day looking so well, despite the record-breaking heat. I would like to personally thank each and every one of you for your superb efforts."
