Octavius victorious at Shropshire County Show

Classes got underway at Shropshire County Show on Saturday 27th May under judge Brian Palmer of Taunton, Somerset, who selected the yearling bull Albany Octavius from Mr L Cook, Cambs, as his Breed Champion. Sired by Nidderdale Alladin (EX91) and out of Albany Ostrich (VG86), this youngster also took home the Male Championship prize.

In the female stakes it was another yearling, Lordswood Jessie from Mr J Brain, Warwickshire, which caught the judges eye, winning the junior heifer class, the Female Championship and taking the Reserve Breed Champion spot. Mr Palmer commented that this heifer had good depth of body, and would make a super cow.
