Kindly hosted by NWT Conservation Manager Jon Preston on 31 May, a group of BWCS members met up at the Trust's Roydon Common site near King's Lynn in Norfolk to discuss all things grazing, and to learn about how British White cattle, as well as a number of other species, are used to manage a variety of habitats to achieve the particular aims of each site.

The group were also joined by NWT Deputy Reserves Manager Anne Simpson, and Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust Grazing Manager David Tough, for discussions throughout the day on several topics from herd management practices and practical solutions to managing cattle over large areas, to the many and varied ways in which conservation is achieved on this scale.

The day was tremendously informative for all attending, and the Society is grateful to Jon, Anne, and David for their efforts in contributing to the event. The BWCS will be looking to hold more seminar days like this one, so if you might be interested in attending (or even hosting!) something similar, please do let us know.
